The Company

KSEYE Group is an established lender in the Bridging Sector. The company is experiencing an exciting growth period and will expand its lending into the Buy to Let (BTL) mortgage arena soon. To support this new lending, the company are seeking experienced Underwriters to join the BTL Underwriting Team.  If you are ready for a new challenge, enjoy working as part of a team in a developing business, can work to tight deadlines and have strong organisational, communication and relationship management skills then we want to hear from you.



  • Manually underwrite BTL, HMO, Multi-Unit Freehold Block, etc., applications within company lending criteria by employing logical thinking, a focus on quality and clear lending decisioning.
  • Carrying out Know Your Customer (KYC) verification checks while identifying the risks attributed to the loan application including fraud and money laundering.
  • Communicating directly with introducers and applicants to discuss the decisions and seek further information/ evidence.
  • Manage a pipeline of cases in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a high-volume workload, prioritising key tasks to meet deadlines accordingly whilst maintaining excellent customer service throughout.
  • Using commercial acumen and a pragmatic approach to find appropriate mitigation of risks where possible, with support and oversight from the Head of BTL Underwriting and Directors.
  • Preparing Credit Papers to a high standard, detailing the purpose, key components and decisioning, concluding with your recommendation for each BTL application.
  • Managing all cases through from enquiry stage to completion in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with introducers, valuer, and solicitor partners as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Follow and keep up to date with current best practice and regulatory requirements in line with company training.
  • Keep all internal systems up to date, inclusive of effective record keeping and accurate notes.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the application process and recommendations for improvement.


Education & Experience

  • Unregulated lending experience including HMO’s and MUFB’s along with an in-depth property related underwriting experience gained with a lender is essential. A senior mandate holder is preferable.
  • Ability to make sound risk-based decisions at each stage of the process and articulate them without the aid of credit scoring.
  • Excellent understanding of the compliance aspects of the role KYC, MCOB and demonstrate a full understanding of TCF, responsible lending and regulatory knowledge applicable to the role.
  • Detailed understanding of organised fraud and measures/ systems in place to avoid it.
  • Able to demonstrate you are proactive, hardworking, flexible, and able to work under own initiative but also as a team player.
  • A confident and engaging communicator who can build rapport with customers, stakeholders and introducers and display an ability to impart detailed information in a clear and concise manner both written and verbally.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively to manage several time critical tasks at once.
  • Commercially aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to working to meet the needs of the business.
  • Preferably CeMAP qualified.
